The Normandale Fund
The Normandale Fund strengthens programs and departments through funding for operations, scholarships, and special program support. This money helps bridge the gap between the cost of educating students and diminishing state support.
Through The Normandale Fund, alumni and friends of Normandale are asked to make a yearly gift at whatever level is appropriate for each individual donor. These tax-deductible donations may be unrestricted (financial resources are directed to the areas of greatest need) or may be designated for a purpose such as scholarships or a particular program specified by the donor.
You can double or triple your gift through a corporate matching gift program with your employer. Check with your employer's human resources department to learn whether your employer offers matching gifts.
How the fund is used:
Gifts to The Normandale Fund provide the flexibility to direct financial resources to the areas of greatest need. Sometimes a need arises quickly and urgently and having unrestricted funds help the Normandale Community College Foundation meet those needs. The Normandale Fund also provides funding to programs and projects which serve to advance the college’s educational mission.
Scholarships are a core element of our philanthropic mission. Scholarships enable students who might not otherwise be able to begin or continue their higher education journey to enroll and succeed at Normandale. Many of our scholarship recipients come from communities of color, other countries, and families in which they are the first generation to attend college. All are deserving in terms of need and achievement.
